Soo Pilates provides safe and effective exercise for every pregnant woman wanting a healthier pregnancy, easier birth, faster recovery and fitness for mumhood in London.
Using a mixture of standing, seated and floor work, Pregnancy Wellbeing aims to work the whole body using light resistance and props. This class will pay special attention to posture, core and breathing and allow you to become more in tune with your changing body.
Our sessions combine the strengthening elements of pregnancy Pilates, yoga stretches and breathing as well as belly dance moves to promote good posture, minimise back pain, maintain pelvic floor function, manage pelvic discomfort, maintain muscle strength and tone, release tightness and promote relaxation.
We address postural changes and demands throughout each trimester. Pregnancy Wellbeing starts at 13 weeks and from then on we work with you to set a foundation in deep abdominal strength to support your baby. Sessions are suitable to continue with right up until the birth but the pace will adapt as your pregnancy progresses and the focus of classes will change as the birth approaches. We will work on optimal foetal positioning and prepare your body for your birthing experience and beyond.
We have experience in successfully working with a range of pregnancy related conditions including Pelvic Girdle Pain, sciatica, back and neck problems, pelvic floor weakness and carpal tunnel syndrome.
